CITRUS CLASSIC BOER GOAT SHOW IN LIVE
OAK,
General Rules:
The
show chairman and committee reserve the final and absolute right to interpret
these rules, settle and determine all matters,
questions
and differences arising from or connected to the Citrus Classic Boer Goat Show.
Any exhibitor who violates the rules
will
forfeit all privileges and be subject to such penalties as the committee may
order.
This
competition is open to all goats registered with the ABGA, IBGA, USBGA, or CBGA. The goats must be registered in the
name of
the exhibitor on or before
listed
above. Animals under three months must have a stamped duplicate or faxed
application showing the date received by one of
the above associations.
There
is no limit to the number of animals an exhibitor may enter in the show. All entries must be postmarked by
The
entry fee is $20.00 per goat for both shows with a pen charge of $10.00 per pen
for each pen used. The pen charge will include
first
bedding (shavings) and must accompany the entry form. Additional shavings will
be available for $7/per bag at the show. Late
entries
will be accepted until April 17th with an additional $10 per goat
late fee.
All
animals will show by age according to the registration certificate. Base date
for age computation is the date of check-in (April 18,
2008).
The show committee reserves the right to combine or
split classes as needed.
Health Requirements: An
official certificate of veterinary inspection, valid within 30 days of the show
must accompany the animals.
The Health certificate must
contain the following statement: “each goat is free of the clinical signs of the diseases: caseous
lymphadenitis, contagious ecthyma (Orf), chlamydial keratoconjunctivitis,
scabies, scrapie, and contagious foot rot.”
The
health certificate must bear the official USDA premise identification number of
the exhibitor.
Liability:
The exhibitor is liable for any damages his/her goat may incur and also for the
safety of his/her goats. The Citrus Classic
assumes
no responsibility or liability for any damages. If any goat is a threat to the
public the animal will be removed from the show.
Poor
sportsmanship (as determined by the show committee) will not be tolerated. The judge’s decision is final.
